Today's Scripture
Scripture — Hebrews 4:16 (KJV)
“Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.”
The Reflection
Some moments leave you feeling unprepared for what life is asking of you. A difficult conversation, an unexpected problem, or a sudden wave of exhaustion can reveal how much you need God’s help. Hebrews 4:16 invites you to approach His throne of grace with confidence because Jesus has opened the way for you to come. You do not have to wait until your thoughts are settled or your words sound polished before you pray. The invitation is to seek mercy and grace in the very moment you recognize your need. His help may come through wisdom for a decision, courage to speak, patience to listen, or support from someone He brings alongside you. Even when your circumstances remain difficult, you can ask Him for strength to respond faithfully to what is before you. Today, let your need become an invitation to draw near and receive the help God offers.
Prayer:
Heavenly Father,
I come to Your throne of grace with the needs of this present moment. Thank You that through Jesus Christ I can approach You with confidence and speak honestly about my struggles. You know where I feel overwhelmed, uncertain, or too tired to continue on my own. Grant me mercy where I have fallen short and grace for the responsibilities before me. Give me wisdom to recognize the next faithful step and courage to take it. Help me notice the support You provide and remain willing to receive help from others. When answers take time, sustain me with patience and trust in Your care. In Jesus’ name, teach me to turn toward You throughout this day and depend on Your sufficient grace, amen.
Meditation
Pause where you are and identify the need that feels most pressing right now. Allow yourself to name it simply, without judging yourself for needing help. Slowly read the invitation, “Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace.” Remember that your confidence rests in Jesus and the access He gives you to the Father. Offer a brief prayer for the wisdom, strength, mercy, or patience this moment requires. Sit quietly with the assurance that you can bring your need before God without first having a solution. Consider whether there is a practical step to take or a trustworthy person to ask for support. Carry this thought into your next task: I can approach God now and seek grace for the moment before me.
